Comic-Con 2011 coverage at TMIAJ officially began today Follow it all right here with daily updates at the official SDCC 2011 Page!

Take A Look And See....

Lots of little changes have been made at TMIAJ and a couple of major new changes.  The Holocron is a new feature that will have rants, reviews, or anything else that may come to mind that doesn't fit anywhere else.  The Retroplex Cinema, Vid Pick Of The Week, and Links page have all been redone!  Then there's the T.G.I.F. Girl page.  Each week the regular Friday girl will appear on front page news but every Monday check out the T.G.I.F. Girl page exclusive picture that is a little more "adult" in nature! That's a sneak peek on the side over there! Also make sure you follow us on Facebook and Twitter! Look for more changes to TMIAJ soon as we hope to get bigger and better!

TMIAJ Changes

We have made some cosmetic changes to Trust Me i'm A Jedi.  Mostly dealing with the feature links underneath the main logo.  Each feature each has it's own page now taking you to archives and brand new logos for each page.  The T.G.I.F. Girl page features something special that will be updated weekly exclusively on that page!!!

#1 Everything Green Lantern

2011 is the year Green Lantern hits theaters but in 2010 Green Lantern excitement was at a fever pitch.  From the first look at the costume, to the first images, to the first trailer.  TMIAJ covered it all!  Watch the trailer again below and check out some images from what's sure to be one of the biggest films of the coming year!

Top 10 Of 2010 At TMIAJ Part 4

Our top 10 continues as we get closer to #1 but before we reveal #2, let's take a look at a couple of honorable mentions that didn't quite make the list this year.

Honorable Mentions

The Avengers Cast Announcement

No one knows if The Avengers movie will be any good but as fan boys, everyone is excited for it and the full cast announcement at Comic-Con 2010 go the internet and fans everywhere extremely excited!

Inception

Leave it to Christopher Nolan to renew people's faith that Hollywood can come up with original ideas.  This mind blowing movie was incredible and it plays very well on multiple viewings.








2010 also saw the announcement of all six Star films returning in 2012 to theaters in 3D, video games continue to boom, we got excited about the trailer for Thor, we dug seeing Predators on the screen again, we said goodbye to Lost, and Cruise is returning to Mission: Impossible, but now we move on to 2011 and right now here's #2 on our top 10 of 2010!

#2 The Walking Dead Take Over Our TV's

 On Halloween The Walking Dead premiered on television.  There's no doubt that AMC made a mistake only ordering six episodes since after the first episode ratings went through the roof.  People who weren't into comic books were watching this show because it's that damn good.  The comic went from obscurity to extremely popular and now we all wait for season two.  Not only is the show a huge success but it opens doors for more comics to look to television to tell their stories instead of film.  If you missed it we highly recommend you check it out when AMC replays it or when it hits DVD in March.  It's exhilarating, well acted, and just plain bad ass tv!

The top 10 of the year at TMIAJ continues.  A highly anticipated sequel hits as well as a highly anticipated announcement!

#4 Tron Legacy

We have been excited for Tron Legacy since it was announced almost three years ago and in 2010 it finally came out.  We covered it extensively and really thought the movie was great over all.  Who cares what critics think! 






#3 The Dark Knight Rises Announcement

Batman Begins and The Dark Knight were both amazing.  We waited patiently for an announcement on what Christopher Nolan's third Batman film would be.  After the death of Heath Ledger, Nolan took the time to think about where to take the franchise and made a little movie called Inception that was amazing in itself.  Then finally this fall he announced that work had begun on The Dark Knight sequel and it would be called The Dark Knight Rises.  Now the buzz is about who the villian will be and what the film will be about.  No matter what, with Nolan at the helm it will be spectacular. 2012 can't come soon enough!

TMIAJ's Top 10 Of 2010 continues.  The greatest trilogy of them all makes an appearance as well as the greatest band in the world!


#7 Pearl Jam's 20th Anniversary Celebration

This isn't a Pearl Jam site but we do touch on music now and then and Pearl Jam is TMIAJ's favorite band and the band turned 20 this year and the celebration will continue into 2011.  We will continue to run feature stories on them as the year continues because we love 'em and they rock!









#6 The Empire Strikes Back 30th Anniversary

The anniversary of Empire could have ranked higher because for obvious reasons at TMIAJ we think Star Wars rules.  Look for much more Star Wars features in 2011 including a week or two or a month dedicated to the holy trilogy!










#5 Star Wars Saga Blu-Ray Announcement & Star Wars Trilogy Cutscenes

Lucasfilm announced the Star Wars sage is coming to Blu-Ray in 2011 and with it, they showed a lost scene from Return Of The Jedi that was on the net for a few days before being taken down.  It caused a frenzy and got people everywhere extremely excited.  We got excited enough that we ran a series of feature articles detailing the lost scenes from the original trilogy and you all loved it.  Check out the article here!

2010 has been a banner year for TMIAJ as the site has taken off and done well and thanks for everyone's support.  We started daily coverage of things instead of just a post here or there, we have a facebook page and a twitter account, and we get a good amount of daily visitors.  We may not be the best but we try to be fun and just bring you the same stuff we dig!  So here is the first part of our Top 10 of 2010 at TMIAJ!


#10 Chris Evans Announced To Play Captain America

Not since the announcement of Hugh Jackman as Wolverine has the anticipation of a casting choice been anxiously awaited.  Who would play the Star Spangled Avenger?  Turns out it would be Chris Evans and as usual it was a love it or hate it choice with fan boys and the final verdict is yet to be seen, as Captain America: The First Avenger hits theaters in summer 2011.








#9 TGIF Girl & Retroplex Cinema Features

Fan boys dig hot chicks and so does TMIAJ so we started this weekly feature that we keep as at work safe as we can because this is a PG-13 site!  Turns out we knew you would like it as the weekly TGIF Girl gets regular page views!  The other very popular feature is Retroplex Cinema.  Revisiting old films is a great past time and apparently you all think so too as our Retroplex Cinema feature stories have proved to be very popular and we will keep them coming!







#8 Comic-Con 2010 Coverage

We didn't attend Comic-Con but TMIAJ did bring you the best coverage we could through out comic-con weekend including the latest information from all the big properties including The Avengers as seen to the left.

TMIAJ Turns 1!

Trust Me I'm A Jedi turns one year old today!  When this blog/site was started we weren't really sure what it was for.  It's mostly for a place for our friends to come and check out cool stuff.  Sure there are sites to get this stuff and probably faster than we provide it, but our goal is not to compete with the big boys.  It's simply to have fun and talk about the stuff we love.  Comics, movies, music, chicks, video games, crazy stuff and more!!  Thank you to every one for your support and here's to another year!!
