New Thor Image Plus Cap and Thor In 3D

The Hero Complex released this awesome image of Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Hopkins and Tom Hiddleston in costume as Thor, Odin and Loki!
They've also received confirmation that Thor and Captain America: The First Avenger will enjoy a 3D release. Director Kenneth Branagh is set to chair Marvel's Comic-Con Panel on Saturday, July 24th. He'll reportedly use part of that time to make the case for 3D.
"We came to feel that in our case 3D could be the very good friend of story and character for a different kind of experience," Branagh told Hero Complex. "I had a healthy degree of skepticism up front ... I've become somebody extremely excited about working with possibilities of doing it this way."
Both Branagh and Captain America director Joe Johnston were somewhat resistant to the  new fad, but felt it could be a useful tool if it served the story.
"I think it tends to be overused and can be a little bit gimmicky," Johnston told Hero Complex. "A lot of people are using 3-D now because they feel have they have to ... that will come and go and the pictures that deserve to be in 3-D will continue to be. When it's done bad, it can make you carsick."
Both movies will be converted to 3D, rather than filmed with the necessary gear. Johnston explored using 3D rigs to film Cap, but found them too unwieldy. Given that so much of a Marvel movie is portrayed in CGI, the 3D should look more like Alice in Wonderland as opposed to Clash of the Titans.
