The Crow Will Fly Again

I really am against the reboot of The Crow, but it looks like it's inevitable that it's going to be made. The producer recently spoke out on the reboot and had this to say.

The io9 website chatted up producer Ryan Kavanaugh, currently out promoting 'Brothers'. He is also a producer on the relaunch 'The Crow'.

During the Q & A Kavanaugh confirmed many facts that people already knew: The script is in good shape. The story does not focus on Eric Draven, but rather a new character. Attention has now shifted to casting.

"The script is great. We're very excited about it," Kavanaugh said of director Stephen Norrington's work. "'The Crow' is definitely going to happen, we're just getting all the pieces together right now. It's not officially greenlit, but it's going to happen... I think in a couple months we could have the package together for sure."

Kavanaugh said plans are to relaunch the character as "a dark Superhero type" and they're looking for the right actor to fill the bill.

"It will be an actor you've heard of.... We're not ruling anything out. We're looking at both, with the very well known and the 'very talented but they may not be quite there yet,'" the producer said.

He also said they plan to tweak the character's iconic goth. "He'll have makeup, but it will be different. The best way to compare it is the first 'Batman' and 'Batman Begins'. In terms of their look and feel and character."

Sigh....it's probably going to suck.

You Are A Unique And Beautiful Snowflake

So if your lucky enough to have Blu-Ray and you picked up Fight Club this week, then you know there's a neat little trick when you pop it in. This shows up!

It's a nice little prank David Fincher pulled with help from friend Drew Barrymore. If you get Fight Club then you understand the joke if not, get a fucking clue.

Who's Going To Play Black Cat?

I've been sitting on this story for the week so you may have heard it already but hey it's an excuse to post a picture of a hot chick!

Spider-Man 4
is set to go behind cameras in the spring and rumors are swirling as to who is going to play Black Cat in the film, the only confirmed villian announced thus far. This week its rumored that Anne Hathaway has been offered the part. Of course Columbia Pictures denies it all but who knows. She gets my vote!

Superman Returns Directors Cut Campaign

I for one loved Superman Returns and I'm aware that many people hated it. There's a new website out there called SupermanReturnsTheBryanSingerCut.com that wants WB to release a director's cut of the film. Such a cut would include some 15 minutes or so extra footage, including the scenes where Superman returns to Krypton.

The site has cut together a trailer promoting such a cut which includes images of Brandon Routh in the black Superman "resurrection suit" (although there's no resurrection in the movie).

Visit the site if you want to support the movement for the Bryan Singer cut of 'Superman Returns'. TMIAJ is supporting it because I'd love to see this happen! In the mean time check out the fan made trailer the site put together for the campaign.

Fucking awesome movie based on a simple and absurd concept about pieces of yarn that said who was to die next, but it turned out awesome and I'm sure this will too!
Also this is a green band trailer letting the general audience know the movie is coming, The actual movie is full of ass kicking violence and Nic Cage plays Big Daddy! Word of mouth on this film is very good already so stay tuned!

Kick-Ass hits theaters April 16, 2010 and these awesome posters have hit the net and a trailer is expected to follow soon. Early test screenings have been taking place and they say the movie, well.....it kicks ass!

First Look At Jessica Alba In Machete!

ComingSoon.net spotted a new poster for Robert Rodriguez's Machete today at the American Film Market (AFM) featuring Jessica Alba as Sartana!

"Machete" is based on the "fake" trailer in Rodriguez's 2007 Grindhouse. The feature version of the trailer finds Machete (Danny Trejo) a renegade former Mexican Federale, roaming the streets of Texas after a shakedown from drug lord Torrez (Steven Seagal). Reluctantly, Machete takes an offer from spin doctor Benz (Jeff Fahey) to assassinate McLaughlin (Robert De Niro) a corrupt Senator. Double crossed and on the run Machete braves the odds with the help of Luz (Michelle Rodriguez), a saucy taco slinger, Padre (Cheech Marin) his "holy" brother, and April (Lindsay Lohan) a socialite with a penchant for guns. All while being tracked by Sartana (Alba), a sexy ICE agent with a special interest in the blade slinger.

The New Batmobile!

Not likely, but this is a cool Batman inspired smart car sold in a shop in North Hollywood. Pretty cool!

New SW: The Clone Wars Tonight!

The Clone Wars normally air on Friday, but there's a special episode tonight on Cartoon Network!

The first chapter in a massive four-part story arc, the Geonosian campaign begins with The Landing at Point Rain, a SPECIAL PRESENTATION of STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS airing at 8:00pm ET/PT this WEDNESDAY, November 4 on Cartoon Network.

Anakin, Ahsoka and Ki-Adi-Mundi lead a landing party to destroy a droid factory that Poggle the Lesser has rebuilt on Geonosis, but things go terribly awry when Separatist gunners shoot down the Republic ships. Despite heavy losses, Anakin and Ki-Adi-Mundi must rendezvous in time to destroy the enemy factory before it can begin production.

Featuring far more intensity than has been seen previously in THE CLONE WARS series, the action-packed episode pushed the limits of Lucasfilm Animation's production processes, showcasing the depth and breadth of the animated galaxy far, far away in ways that hadn't been possible before.
