Pearl Jam's "Backspacer" Tops Chart

Not that Pearl Jam has ever cared about how many albums they sell, but their amazing new record Backspacer debuts at #1 on the Billboard Top 100 this week. It's the bands first #1 record since 1996's No Code.

Backspacer is Pearl Jam's 30th charting album on the Billboard 200. That sum includes nine studio albums, a greatest hits package, a B-sides set and 19 live albums. Pearl Jam will be headlining the Austin City Limits Music Festival this weekend in Austin and will be closing Philadelphia's Spectrum Theater with four shows at the end of October.
